    Doomtown Records & Distribution

    Hi there people!

Doomtown Records is small european label and distribution.

Stuff we put out so far:

    DT001 Lets Grow/Jaibo! split 12"
"When it comes to JAIBO! it's all about rock n' roll inspired hardcore punk. Jaibo!'s music can be compared to BAD BRAINS, JERRY'S KIDS, RKL (R'n'r Nightmare era) and some european bands such as INDIGESTI and JINGO DE LUNCH as well as some new bands such as SOUTHSIDE STRANGLERS and ANNIHILATION TIME. They have 3 songs out on "Powder Keg" compilation and 8 tracks are featured on split LP with Lets Grow. LETS GROW exist since 2001. and so far they have a lot of records out on US (625,Third Party, Know Rec.) and European labels (Refuse Rec, Insulin Addicted, Hako-bastards...). In those 8 years their music changed a bit, but it was always no bullshit, great sounding and high-energy fast hardcore punk inspired mostly by the 80's US bands and some european hardcore. Lets Grow already toured Europe once and played with Annihilation Time, Vitamin X, Dean Dirg, Out Cold etc. and as we speak they are just back from their second european tour with their pals Jaibo!. The artwork is amazing and is done by Ray Ahn from Hard-Ons."

    DT002 XAXAXA - Tango Revolucioner 12"
"Tango Revolucioner", XAXAXA's debut full-length, will become known as the second Doomtown release ever! XAXAXA hail from Skopje, Macedonia and feature 3 members of a group of post-punk enthusiasts known as Bernays Propaganda, as well as xFxPxOx, the legendary Macedonian hardcore punk thrashers. XAXAXA's agenda is to explore the melodic side of the mid / late 80's Dischord roster, so don't be surprised if they remind you of bands like FUGAZI, RITES OF SPRING and even DAG NASTY. XAXAXA's tunes also have a moody HUSKER DU/WIPERS vibe, so it's safe to say that these guys aren't just another copycat band paying tribute to the Revolution Summer days of DC hardcore."

    DT003 Brat Pack - Stupidity Returns 12"
"Brat Pack hail from Holland, but their sound is more reminiscent of the sunny streets, beaches, skate parks and pools of early eighties California. Since 2006 they've recorded a demo, which was later re-released as a 7'' vinyl, and a full-length entitled "Hate The Neighbours". In support of "Hate The Neighbours", Brat Pack played all over Europe, including two Western European tours, a tour of the Balkans, a UK tour and, of course, a bunch of other shows. Now, three years after the release of “Hate The Neighbours”, Brat Pack have crafted a whole lotta new songs and they'll unleash 'em via “Stupidity Returns”, their second full-length LP. Influences vary from the aggressive sounds of RKL, SNFU, 7 SECONDS and even some later era Poison Idea to a more melodic and gloomy approach of the ADOLESCENTS, D.I. and AGENT ORANGE, played skilfully, but still really raw and pissed. Also, one song features the wicked Solomon of Night Fever fame on vocals. All in all, an energetic and melodic hardcore punk assault."

DT004 Warsong - Ancient Times CS
"Spanish punk bands INSOMNIO and NO ESCAPE may be defunct and sorely missed, but hey, we've still got Warsong, formed by members of the aforementioned bands. As for the sound they're after, not much is new - melodic and anthemic punk rock with an occasional rock 'n' roll touch. If you're into name-dropping, here's some: Adolescents, Hüsker Dü, Pegboy, Wipers and maybe even Turbonegro."

    DT005 Warsong - The Caravan 12"
"Here we go, from the ashes of INSOMNIO and NO ESCAPE comes WARSONG with their second release after their impressive “Ancient times” debut-LP. Five songs: all killer no filler (four original songs plus a Wipers song that hasn’t been covered to death – especially not in Spain). On a good day, this record will make out an instant classic, on a bad day you’ll have t...o play it twice to discover the depth and richness of this record, but you definitely won’t sell it to anyone else again, because real good records stay forever. If you want to describe the sound of WARSONG, put together a band with a young Clif Hanger (The Freeze) fronting an all star band with the best ingredients from DAG NASTY, ALL, THE WIPERS and the mighty ADOLESCENTS. Your wettest dreams come true, if their subject is pure melodic hardcore-punk in classic 80s style. The more often you play this record the bigger it grows...and it’s damn huge right now."

Divided Minds Tapes, Black Gust 7inches and Trobecove Krusne Peci Represses are officially out.

    Press info:

DT006 Divided Minds - Demo CS

"Debut six song tape from this relatively new punk trio from Zagreb city which sounds like early 80s melodic hardcore punk mixed with sloppy & raw garagey punk feel. Think somewhere along the spectrum of sounds situated between Zero Boys, Adolescents, Observers & Carbonas. Tape has been professionally duplicated and is limited to 100 white copies."

    DT007 Black Gust - Psychedelic Maelstrom 7"

"Black Gust plays a mutant fusion of good old 80's american hardcore and garage punk drenched in gloomy riffs accompanied by snotty vocals & bitter lyrics. These fuck-ups have been compared to the Adolescents, Gang Green, RKL, "late era" Poison Idea, Turbonegro and some "newer" bands such as Annihilation Time, Night Fever and Leathervein. Debut EP contains 6 songs in 11:30 minutes on 45rpm vinyl."

DT008 Trobecove Krusne Peci - S Mukom Zvacu Trubadurov Vrat LP+2xCd

"Trobecove Krusne Peci, named after a well-known Slovenian serial killer, were one of the best Croatian underground bands in the 80s, as well as the best-kept secret of Croatian rock music, first and foremost because of their inability to release a record. Trobecove Krusne Peci played avant-garde noise/post punk/no wave with a certain touch of black humor, easily comparable to other bands of that era, and their intense shows, often bordering between performance art and confrontation, are still well-remembered. If you enjoy noise pangs created by bands such as The Birthday Party, Pop Group or Killing Joke or some more obscure nihilists such as Drunks With Guns or Stick Men With Rayguns, you will not be disappointed by Trobecove Krusne Peci. Just like cult ex-yugoslavian bands such as Sexa, Paraf, Sarlo Akrobata, Pekinska Patka, Quod Massacre, Kaos etc., TKP were one of the most important bands of their time even thought they never managed to put out a proper record so we are really proud of participating in this one. This is official repress of TKP old recordings which are newly remastered from the original master tapes. "S Mukom Zvacu Trubadurov Vrat" feature classic "85" tape on 180 gram vinyl plus two compilation compact disc's featuring classic "Ta Krvava Proslost" tape and bunch of unreleased material, live material and some live video footage from rehearsal space and their live performances from the back in the 80's. Vinyl comes in a gatefold sleeve with a luxurious 6 page insert."

DT009 aka Nuclear Spring - Selftitled 7" is officially out!! If you need your copy or wholesale deal get in touch here: doomtownrec@gmail.com

Or you can just buy the vinyl via our Discogs store:
    http://www.discogs.com/seller/DoomtownRecords

    Press info:

"Four new songs from New York City's Nuclear Spring. Their abrasive, driving and upbeat high-energy mid-paced punk songs sound like they were spawned in dirty British suburbs circa 1977-82; the catchy riffs and dual male/female vocal bring that era to mind.

On the new 7" EP, these Brooklyn-based outcasts have also changed their sound a little bit and began to flirt with the 80's UK anarcho style, but still managed to avoid the standard retro death rock/post-punk sound that's trendy at the moment.

If name dropping means something to you, think of early Blitz, Partisans and Templars, or some new bands such as Criminal Damage or No Hope For The Kids. Also, Nuclear Spring members were/are active in Natural Law, Creem, La Misma, Putrida and Nomos."

A bunch of new releases out on Doomtown Records!!!

DT 010 Catholic Guilt - Futile Attempts 7"

"Catholic Guilt are from Austria and play dense, discordant hardcore in 80s hardcore punk tradition. They are said to be measuring up with Poison Idea and Die Kreuzen when it comes to dashing off cogent, well-written songs that eloquently express the band's lack of interest in most of humanity. What?s more, they have plenty of chorus effect on the guitar, which reminds of early Husker Du and many other bands from that era. Sickoids would be also a good reference if we speak about some new bands doing something similar. After a 3-song demo tape and a split LP with Inu from Spain, this is their second release on vinyl. And if you must know, some of the Catholic Guilt members were active in now defunct The Plague Mass and Boredom."

DT 011 Modern Delusion - Wasteland CS

"Modern Delusion are a trio from Zagreb featuring members of Dykemann Family and Black Gust, as well as members of the now-defunct Welcomin' Committee In Flames, The Babies and Daily Trash. Unlike the aforementioned bands, Modern Delusion aim for something quite different: synth-oriented, gloomy post punk with obvious influences from zillions of obscure "Back from the Grave" and KBD comps and maybe even some Crypt Records stuff. If you'd like us to drop some names, hear this: Jay Reatard's Lost Sounds and his earlier "synth punk" projects like Angry Angles or Destructions Unit, and some classic stuff like Devo, The Units and Urinals. The band recorded 6 original songs plus a Crime cover on a primitive 4-track recorder, and now, these seven jams are finally seeing the light of day as a limited cassette tape. Don't miss out on this!"

    DT 012 Divided Minds - Strangers 7"

"This little fucker delivers four memorable mid-tempo songs of highly energetic and nervous herky-jerky punk rock, sounding like a cross of traditional 77 KBD punk and early 80's melodic hardcore played by the Zero Boys and most Rikk Agnew's bands. The "Strangers" EP is all about good ol' punk riffs, played with passion and blended with perfectly fitting snotty vocals, so if you dig old fashioned punk rock with a modern touch, you definitely need this piece of wax."

Modern Delusion / Chresus Jist split 7” is out!!!

Modern Delusion delivers three numb hymns in their traditional synth-punk/new wave style and this time the songs are even more darker and gloomier then on their debut ”Wasteland” tape. If you like Lost Sounds, The Spits (minus the comic relief side) or Devo you’ll probably be into this trio. On the flipside, Chresus Jist are presenting three noisy, surfy and catchy lo-fi gems similar to new era of noisy garage pop bands and Sub Pop scene. Lets say there’s a slight touch of early Jesus & Mary Chain and the Pixies in their sound. This one is limited to 300 copies on black vinyl.
